Halloween can bring life into any city as the weather chills and the nights get longer: but Richmond, Virginia, really knows how to make it fun. If you’re eager to try and see new and exciting things: you’re not alone! Thankfully, there’s enough to do here that you’ll never run out of fun and exciting stops.
These are some spooky and fun attractions to check out if you’ll be in Richmond this Halloween!
Spooky Pups and Pints
Everyone loves to include their dogs in fun, so why not have some beers with other dog owners and get the most out of an afternoon? Spooky Pups and Pints is a fun event on Halloween from three to five that allows dog owners to mingle, has a costume contest, and gives your pups the chance to make some friends. With live music, fun treats for your dogs, and a lot of activities for the humans too: you’ll have a howling good time!
Red Vein Haunted House
If you need a break from looking at Richmond apartments for rent: it’s time to check out a house you definitely wouldn’t want to rent! The Red Vein Haunted House is a property that’s been decked out to scare the screams out of you! Not only do you get the chance to interact with fun, costumed actors who know how to frighten people, but you also get to buy a picture taken while you’re in the haunted house getting scared!
Halloween at Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens is one of the top theme parks in the state, and it’s an awesome place to go year-round: but during Halloween, the fun goes into overdrive! With themed rides, incredible sites, and fun costume contests, you’ll never run out of things to do or see. The events change through the month of December, so you can come back multiple times and never have the same exact experience! This is absolutely worth a visit!
Halloween for All
If holidays are usually a drag for you: why not at least have it be a drag show? Halloween for All is a Halloween party and event with forty vendors, a DJ, a costume contest, food, and a live drag show. This is a supply drive for the Richmond Animal League and is a lot of fun for such a great cause. This is on Halloween from one to four PM at Diversity Richmond.
Cry Witch
In this eerie adults-only trial, you have to decide if someone’s a witch in Colonial Williamsburg. It has a lot of weight to it, and although the defendant won’t actually burn at the stake if you decide she’s guilty, it’s a strange glimpse into the past and a stark reminder of how far we’ve come from this point in our nation’s past.
