Following last week’s latest developments in the news cycle (and rumor mill) for the new-gen 2024 Toyota LandCruiser Prado, we’ve commissioned a pair of speculative renderings to offer some idea of what we can all expect.
It’s important to remember the new Prado has not yet been spied on in testing of any sort – Toyota is famously good at keeping new models under wraps, thanks to its extensive private proving grounds.
Therefore, our renderings here are based on existing new models in the Toyota Prado 2024 range like the big new 300 Series, along with the familiar Prado design lineage and, of course, the below rendering from in Japan. They’re often fairly close in their renders, suggesting an inside source.
What do you think of our artist’s speculative impression of the new Prado? It’ll be interesting to see if the grille frame ends up being as big and bold as this!
The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser: Everything You Need to Know
Toyota killed off the Land Cruiser in America in 2021, opting not to bring the new J300 model over (you can still get it in Lexus form). We, like many, had a soft spot for the big friendly SUV. The trouble was, no one here bought it. The Land Cruiser was too bloated and too inefficient; and, at nearly $90,000, it priced out Toyota SUV enthusiasts — but wasn’t a fancy-enough badge for those who pay that much for an SUV.
However, Toyota did not say they were abandoning the Toyota Prado 2024 price nameplate altogether. Their initial statement said they would “explore future products that celebrate the Land Cruiser’s rich off-road history” and told enthusiasts to “stay tuned for future developments.”
Those future developments may happen quickly — perhaps as soon as 2023 for the 2024 model year. Here’s what you need to know.
Come on! Toyota is about to present the new generation of the Land Cruiser Prado
- Japanese publication reported that Toyota will introduce used cars in Pakistan next summer.
- It is worth noting that the manufacturer has been producing the current generation of the SUV for 11 years.
- Various sources have repeatedly reported the Japanese brand’s plans to release a new version of the iconic model.
- Recently, this has been hampered by logistical problems with component supply.
- Now experts report that the updated Prado will receive a partially electrified modification.
The new Land Cruiser Prado
The new Land Cruiser Prado will be built on the TNGA-F platform, which underpins the Land Cruiser 300 and the new Tundra.
This architecture will allow the Prado to maintain the structure of the car, reducing the overall weight.
The main units in the engine range will be four-cylinder engines, which will include a 2.8-liter diesel engine.
In addition, some plants will be partially electric to increase efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
Experts also report that thanks to the same architecture, the V6 will be available for the updated SUV.
For example, a 3.3-liter engine can be used on the model, the power of which is 299 horsepower.
According to Japanese journalists, the debut of the new generation of the Best fuel-efficient cars in Pakistan will take place in the summer of 2023.
As per the details, the upcoming 2024 Toyota Prado will be built on a brand-new TNGA-F platform and uses the same turbocharged 2.8-liter diesel engine, but it will be paired with a mild-hybrid system. The technology will provide temporary drive assistance and power the air conditioning unit to increase fuel economy. Toyota will also offer two options of Prado, a 2.4 or 2.5-liter petrol four-cylinder, and a 3.3-liter V6 diesel engine with hybrid technology.
2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Price and Launch Date:
It is expected that the next generation 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado cost will be higher than its predecessor due to its new design. The company also claims that the upcoming hybrid diesel variant cost will be less than the top variant. However, the company has not revealed the prices yet. The Prado model will go on sale in Australia, Asia, and Europe in the second half of 2023.
